We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Jira administration and configuration, ensuring seamless alignment with the organization’s processes and workflows.

Job Description:

  • Manage and administer Jira Cloud instances, including Jira Software and Jira Service Desk.
  • Configure custom workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and notifications to support various business needs.
  • Implement and manage custom Jira Dashboards, filters, and queries to provide real-time reporting and insights to stakeholders.
  • Analyze current workflows and design scalable solutions that improve efficiency and collaboration across teams.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Jira’s built-in automation features, JMWE, or scripting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira automations and integrations.
  • Manage user roles, groups, and project permissions across Jira Software and Jira Service Desk.
  • Provide expert-level support to Jira users, including issue resolution, training, and best practices guidance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Jira with tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack, and CI/CD tools.
  • Conduct regular system maintenance, upgrades, and backups to ensure a stable Jira environment.
  • Establish and promote Jira best practices for optimal performance and maintainability.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 7-8 years of experience in Jira Administration, including Jira Cloud, Jira Service Desk, and Jira Software.
  • Proficiency in configuring Jira workflows, custom fields, screens, permissions, and notification schemes.
  • Expertise with JMWE, Automation for Jira, and other Jira plugins for automating workflows.
  • Strong understanding of Jira Query Language (JQL) for building custom reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in managing Jira integrations with tools like Confluence, Slack, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and scripting for advanced Jira customizations and integrations is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex Jira issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading teams and mentoring junior administrators.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and their implementation in Jira.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, and Trello.
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk/ITSM practices.
  • Atlassian Certified Professional – Jira Administrator certification is a plus.
