Application and Architecture audits are conducted in three phases: Scalability & Maintainability, Layer-by-layer analysis and Compliance to standards.
The scalability and maintainability of the application ensures in-depth analysis of coupling and cohesion with integrated applications and Testability of the application.
Second phase of audit deals with each and every layer of the application i.e. from presentation to persistence layer. In this phase auditing is performed for coding practices and database interactions with the application etc.
The final audit phase is done for the compliances and coding standards, designing practices and proper exception handling
Based on the analysis, every component of the application is rated and appropriate actions are provided for non conformances. This result leads to recommendations spectrum ranging from a sound certified application to application hardening thru refactoring to potential rewrite in case of poorly architected application with lower TCO as the goal.
